Effect of Topology on the Performance of PV Module
PV cell efficiency during operation vary due to varying conditions. The maximum power point of PV may change according to the different topologies such as series, parallel, and series-parallel combinations as well as in partial shaded conditions. This paper describe the behavior of various topologies of PV modules which affect the solar PV system performance. Behaviour of I-V and P-V characteristics of PV panels for different topologies are thoroughly studied to evaluate the performance of these combinations. Modeling and analysis of these topologies has been carried out in MATLAB/Simulink environment and five different topologies has been taken to perform the simulation.
